The 2009 Track and Field season is now upon us.  Starting March 2, 2009 through the end of March, athletes may sign up to join the Acoma Running Club.  Sign up forms are available at practice.  Should you have any questions please contact Myron Salvador.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. MST the Acoma Running Club started the long journey to Mechanicsville, Virginia from Acomita (see A on map below). Marion Salvador has been in contact to give updates of their trip. We will post the updates here as they become available.

The Bantam girls defended last year’s title with a win over Taylor Ranch in this year’s New Mexico state championships. They then went on to the Region 10 Championships and placed second, one point behind the Sojourners from Colorado. This finish qualifies them to move up to the National Junior Olympic cross-country championships in Mechanicsville, Va.
